I was always a competitive and stubborn person. I thrived to become someone who was good at everything I did, whether it was cooking, maths ,science, or anything else. But it wasn’t until middle school that I discovered my passion for art.

Back then, I had trouble making friends. but I have my father who was an artist, with a talent for drawing and crafting that I admired more than anything. I wanted to be just like him, to create beautiful things with my hands and express myself through art. But my parents had other plans for me.

Since I was born into a lower middle-class family, all I was supposed to do was engineering or medicals. So I eventually ended up taking Science in plus two and doing Engineering .

It was in corona lockdown only , I started practicing and learning art and design. I would make 3d art or ui animations or simply visuals every chance I got. I wasn’t very good at first, but I didn’t let that discourage me. I kept practicing and soon I started to see some improvement.

As time went on, I became more and more passionate about art and design. It wasn’t just a hobby anymore, it was a part of who I was. I would spend hours upon hours drawing, sculpting, animating building apps, and more, always striving to improve my skills.

But with that passion came a lot of self-doubts. I was always comparing myself to other artists and other designers, always feeling like I wasn’t good enough. Even when people complimented my work, I would brush it off, thinking they were just being polite.

That self-doubt only grew as I got older. In high school, I was still drawing, but I was also dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety. I was constantly worried about my future and whether or not I was good enough to make it as an artist or as a designer

But despite all that, I kept going. I kept learning , kept improving, and kept pushing myself to be better. And eventually, all that hard work paid off.
After graduating from BIT Sindri, Although I had an engineering degree. I decided to pursue a career in art and design. It was scary and uncertain, but I knew it was what I wanted to do. I took some classes and started building up my portfolio.

And slowly but surely, I started to get some recognition. I got some commissions, freelance work(mostly app design & game art) , some gallery showings, and even featured in blender artist magazines.

But even now, as an established artist and designer, I still struggle with self-doubt. I still worry about whether or not I’m good enough, and whether or not I’ll ever be truly successful. But I try to remind myself of all the hard work I’ve put in, all the progress I’ve made, and all the people who have supported me along the way.

And that’s what keeps me going. That’s what makes me believe that maybe, just maybe, I can make it as an artist and a designer .
